Louisiana Leadership -- FUBAR

NEW ORLEANS, LA -- Why didn't New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin(D) use these buses to evacuate New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina struck? Why didn't Louisiana follow it's own Emergency Plan? Why did Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco(D) wait until after George Bush called her, to declare a state of emergency... on Sunday? Why are the Democrats blaming Bush, FEMA and the federal government for alleged failures that really occurred at the state and local level? Why are Democrats saying that the response of the federal government was slow?

It's all FUBAR... plain and simple. Read the links for more details. Sacred Cow Burgers has a great piece on the story HERE.

And I thought the "libs" have always said, "The federal government has no business interfering in 'State's business'!

I said this before, but will repeat it again, even armchair QB's give the coach, QB, or other team member credit SOMETIMES! "Lib wackjobs" will NEVER do the same for GWB>

RAM,
I think it's just an unfortunate new mentality we're facing these days, a mentality that says: "It's not MY fault. Let's see... who can I blame? OK, it's 'their' fault!"

It's a mentality that says, "I am NOT responsible for myself or my welfare. Somebody ELSE is responsible for me and my welfare." And that's why a lot of people are dead or disappointed.

Kajun,
Good to hear from ya! Hopefully you are doin' OK down there in "No steenkin' town", LA. Our prayers are with you. We especially pray that you will be safe from those roving bands of old white women!

Saw Mary Landreau crying and saying she wanted to punch Bush in the face yesterday.

She and George Stoopisundus flew over one of the breaches. There was one crane working. Her words, "Isn't that the saddest thing you've ever seen? (sob-end of spot)."

Personally, I can think of a lot of sadder things. All those buses for example. Hmmm, and maybe the children and........ And here she is crying and ranting about closing the barn door after the cow is long gone!

Kajun: You crack me up!

Seriously though, I hope you and your family made it though this OK. My prayers are with you and all the affected people there in the area. The media seems to think NO is the ONLY area affected.

I watched as President Bush was speaking while the LA Governor was at his side, and couldn't help but notice the look on her face, which to me said she despises him!

She also was on FOX and Friends this morning by phone, and seems to feel no responsibility for ANYTHING! Anything bad, that is. She said "something" about "something" she did, that no other Governor of LA had ever done. That was a nice touch, don't you think? ;-0

When asked about supposed "words" between her and Bush, she denied there were any.

YEAH,----RIGHT!

Hawkeye: Nail on head about the "responsibility thing"! Even some liberals see this too. When I used to watch "The Simpsons", Bart stole a video game, and in his mind he saw, "Mario" telling him to "take it, it's the manufacturer's fault for making you want it so much!"

I wonder how many people saw this as funny because it was so absurd (as I did), and how many thought, "Hey, maybe that's right?" The latter are the looters and people everywhere who thinks the world OWES them a living.

I stopped watching "The Simpson's" when it seemed every episode now deals with making fun of Christ and Christians.

Marge,
Amen. I couldn't have said it any better. But there are a lot of people (especially Dems) that don't like GWB. That's OK though. Like his dad (Bush-41) said, he's not thinned skinned.
