Looney Liberal of the Week: Sheehan

CRAWFORD, TX -- This week's award goes to Cindy "Crawford" Sheehan, 48, of Vacaville, California. Cindy is the mother of fallen U.S. soldier Spc. Casey Austin Sheehan, killed in Iraq. She has been holding a peace vigil near President Bush's ranch in Crawford, Texas demanding that the President see her. She has become an overnight celebrity among other Looney Liberals and even has her own website HERE.

While most Americans would acknowledge her grief over the loss of a son, that is about the only thing Americans seem to agree on when it comes to Cindy Sheehan. Those on the Left are treating her like a hero, while using her as a pawn in their on-going struggle against the Bush administration and Conservative values. Those on the Right say that she has dishonored herself, her son, the military, the President, and the United States.

First reported in such important publications as Sacred Cow Burgers, Scrappleface, and Kajun News, Sheehan is revealed as a "two-faced, anti-American Leftist tool" who is trying to relive her hippie youth of the 'Sixties by holding an "impromptu Woodstock reunion", and who looks amazingly like Johnny F. Kerry's Cousin -- a fugitive that escaped from the State Mental Hospital in Vacaville, California.

Frankly, only a Looney Liberal Idiot would demand that the President of the United States come out and meet her amidst an ocean of reporters and photographers so that she can give him a lecture.

At first,I defended and excused the seemingly inappropiate behavior of Cindy Sheehan assigning it to delayed grief.Having expeiencedd such in my life,I had compassion....but no more.Rush gave a wonderful monologue on today's show and it would be worth the read on his website.

"Cindy's son was not a boy scout,he was a man.President Bush did not draft him,he volunteered to join the military in the service of his country".

In other words,I have changed my "looney tunes".

Cindy Sheehan's behavior is self-serving, dishonorable, and dishonest. She and her handlers from moveon.org, as well as Michael (the Pied Piper) Moore's crew of shallow, thoughtless followers, mock the dignity, efforts, and sacrifice of her son. This group of professional grievers can't see past their own selfishness as they belittle and undermine our elected leaders, our country, and our foreign policy. They spit on the sacrifices of those who jeopardize their lives and those who have lost their lives. Their belief that they are taking the high road is an endangering delusion. "Loony" is too kind of a label to put on this immature behavior.

Pretty telling that the link to her website NOW says they want Bush to meet with US.

Proving that the meeting with cindy was a "foot in the door" for the President to have to meet with ANYONE who then demands it.

I have a feeling they would like Bush to"walk throught the gauntlet" similar to a biker initiation!

I don't recall anyone demamding to meet with JFK or LBJ. Maybe they (the lib loonies) didn't think of it then or maybe it was because they were Democrats?

BTW, I STILL haven't seen the lame-stream media give any airtime to Patrick Sheehan. Maybe because he supports his son's service?

Maggie,
I don't know what Cindy thought when she first went to Crawford. She was no doubt grieving. But did she knowingly intend to create a media circus? ...or has she just gotten caught up in the moment? I could be a bit more sympathetic with her if it is the latter. But every journey begins with the first step... a step Cindy probably should never have taken in the first place.

onlineanalyst,
I totally agree. First of all, it pure selfishness to suggest that we should bring all our troops home from everywhere in the world. Why? ...so that "Momma" can be sure that her kid will be "safe"?

Second, what is the purpose of a military anyway? ...to defend ourselves only on our own shores? Sure, let's fight our foreign enemies in the streets of New York, Atlanta and L.A. ...Duh!

Sure, let's allow the corrupt dictators, evil regimes, and violent insurgents have their way. Sure, let's allow Democracy around the world to flounder.

I want my kids where I can see 'em!

Kajun,
I didn't hear that, but if true, it suggests that Cindy "Crawford" had no idea what was in her son's mind and is TRULY dishonoring his memory.

How sad.

RAM,
Yep, I can just see Cindy now... "Mr. Bush, you come out here THIS minute... Do you hear me? I'm not kidding! Oooooh, you're gonna get such a whoopin' when I get my hands on you..."

Kajun,
I think that's James Taranto (not Tarantula -- as in spider), or are you just pulling our chain again?

OK Mr. Comedian... (I'll bet your fifth grade teacher said that to you).

Hawkeye-
Cindy "Crawford" Sheehan is said to have told her son that he would run him over with her vehicle if he enlisted in the first place. I'll look around to find where I read that remark. It certainly shows what kind of mother she is when her politics trump her maternal feelng.

onlineanalyst,
Really? Man would I love to see that one! Let me know if you find it, OK?

Wow, she tells her son not to go. He goes. He re-ups. He gets killed. She then uses him to start a peace protest 'cause she's so "broken up"....

Gimme a break!! If that's really true, this woman should burn in HELL (all you kiddies out there... please ignore my language).

Regards,
Hawkeye®

Kajun,
I'm sure it will come to me, but at the moment I can't even remember my fifth grade teacher's name. How 'bout you?

OHHH! It just came to me. Good ol' Mrs. Hilliard. Gosh! I think that was back in 1962.

I guess the Alzheimer's hasn't completely overtaken me yet.

Cindy as Mother Sheehan? Here is the quotation (but not from the original place where I read it).

CINDY SHEEHAN: Right. Our family was against it from the beginning. Casey was against it, but he felt it was his duty to go because he was in the Army. And he felt that he had to go to protect his buddies, to be there for his buddies, to be support, and they are brainwashed into thinking that even if they don't agree with the mission, they're brainwashed into just blindly following it. I begged Casey not to go. I told him I would take him to Canada. I told him I would run over him with a car, anything to get him not to go to that immoral war. And he said, “Mom, I wish I didn't have to, but I have to go.”
Read the interview where the quotation comes from

onlineanalyst,
Well Cindy says Casey was against the war (as I'm sure she would), but that runs totally counter to what others have said about him. And it runs counter to the fact that he re-upped in 2003. Anne Morse has written a terrific article about the REAL Casey Sheehan HERE
