Leahy: Radical Roberts Has 'Wayback' Machine

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) today labeled Supreme Court nominee John G. Roberts an "eager and aggressive... radical" who is even more dangerous because he now owns a 'Wayback' machine. According to Leahy, Roberts' views are "among the most radical being offered... intent on reversing decades of policies on civil rights, voting rights, women's rights, privacy and access to justice."

If it is true that nominee Roberts does indeed have a 'Wayback' machine, then it would be possible for him to alter political history forever... literally. He could simply go back in time, infiltrate the Supreme Court and reverse dozens of decisions. Liberals fear his mere presence in the past because of his vastly superior and persuasive intellect. "He must be stopped at all costs", said Leahy.

Exactly how Roberts obtained a 'Wayback' machine is still unclear. When last seen, the machine was still in the possession of Mr. Peabody and his boy Sherman. DNC insiders theorize that the "Radical Roberts" snuck into Mr. Peabody's den and stole the device between episodes of "The Rocky & Bullwinkle" show.

Neither Peabody nor Sherman could be reached for comment.

Mack,
Yes! And it's just so fun to make up silly little stories about their idiocy. They don't even realize how out of touch they are with America. That's the beauty of it! If they woke up and moved just a bit toward the center... if they started to act like statesmen instead of "girly" men... then we might have something to worry about. As long as they yell and scream and stand so far to the left that they are no longer in camera range... we got it made.

He probably got it from a Senator; they seem like a bunch of cartoon characters themselves these days...

The next thing you know he will be accused of stealing the 3D-BB, or 3 diamentional blackboard from another 60's cartoon!

After all it will be easy now that he possess's the "wayback machine".

I want to see if he can get me Marilyn Monroe and James Dean's autographs, even if Mickey Mantle's would be worth MUCH more!

Kajun,
Very "pithy" indeed... but feel free to "bloviate" on occasion. I'm not Bill O'Reilly, and this is NOT the "No-Spin Zone". In fact, I'm always spinnin' some yarn.

Maggie,
Yeah, stealing a "Wayback" machine has got to be a lot easier than taking documents from the National Archives... but can you imagine the bulge it would make in his socks?

"death eatin' a cracker"...? Wow, that's a new one on me! You have such a way with words.

RAM,
I couldn't remember where that was from, so I looked it up and found...

Phineas J. Whoopee used the 3D BB (Three Dimensional Blackboard) to explain things to Tennessee Tuxedo and Chumley on "Tennessee Tuxedo and His Tales."

WHOOPEE!

That's all I need to hear is that the LibDems are in posession of a WayBack machine!

Things are bad enough as it is with them having cell phones and PDFs, but now all we're gonna hear is "way back when..." Democrats had brains, Democrats were patriotic, Democrats were honest, ad infinitum. Of course if the machine took them all waaaay back, say 350 million years, they would be with their ancestors, the Veloceraptor and they could all try to avoid TK Rex, especially near water! As a matter of fact, a bag of bones said to resemble Nancy Pelosi has been found in China and given the name Jawbonus Protrudus.

Kajun & Maggie,
Having lived in Florida for five years, I heard a few good Suthern' sayings myself. (Please excuse the more graphic ones)....

--He's busier than a bee in a tar bucket.

--That's slicker than snot on a pump handle.

--It's colder than a witch's teat.

--That's 'bout as useful as a teat on a bull.

--Keep workin' boys... All I wanna see is a$$oles and elbows.

Again, my apologies to anyone who might be offended, but please know that such sayings were about as common as somebody in New York saying...
"How ya dooin'... How YOU dooin'..."

PanamaRed,
I'm just hoping that if Roberts has the "Wayback" machine that he will take us back to the time of the Framers of the Constitution. We couldn't get much better than that.

Kajun,
"I'll knock one outta you longer'n a whistle on a train!"

So how long is that anyway? Perhaps 15 inches?.... or more like 56 seconds?

Boris, buddy:
The Federalists' team cheer is "Push 'em back, push 'em back ...waaaay back". Works for me. And my Constitution.
Don't you long for the good old days of "The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show" and "Spy vs Spy" in Mad?

My daughter was born in Florida, so she officially qualifies as a "cracker". Bad idea though about sending the Dems back to prehistoric times... given more time, they'll screw things up even worse!
